B The Change

It would have been amazing if there were a guide to becoming a Certified B Corporation when we started Tuckerman. And now there is! Our friends at The Yale Center for Business and the Environment and Patagonia have put together a fantastic guide for entrepreneurs considering B certification and/or incorporation.

We firmly believe that business can be a force for positive change, and incorporated as a Benefit Corporation so that our commitment to social and environmental responsibility would be part of our legal charter. We later became a Certified B Corporation—by passing a third-party assessment—in order to evaluate the impact of our practices and make improvements. We’re proud to be part of a community of like-minded companies Patagonia, Warby Parker, Etsy, and New Belgium Brewing.
